Safe house

Noomi provides protected housing for individuals in need of support and protection from an unsafe environment. The residences welcome individuals over 18 years old and offer space for two people and possibly accompanying children.

Noomi's accommodations provide a home-like and secure environment with tailored support based on the individual's needs. Noomi's staff work regular office hours, but around the clock, residents have the opportunity to call a hotline. The residences are drug-free.

Examples of practical assistance that Noomi provides support with:

• Psychosocial support
• Accompaniment to healthcare and other authorities
• Support during police reports and legal processes
• Risk assessment and safety planning (we have training in SARA:SV and FREDA)
• Child sessions (we have training in the Trappan model)
• Future planning
• Assistance with job and housing searches
• Wellness activities
• Assistance with organized return to another country

Through our approach, we strive to give those residing with us a sense of hope, a belief in their own worth, and tools to change their life situation.
